Auditorium FAQ

Concerts in the auditorium from October-December 2020

Thanks to the Grafenegg Festival, music has returned to Grafenegg and won't be falling silent any time soon. This is ensured by the Schlossklänge 20-21 season concerts, the European Union Youth Orchestra's concert and the final concert of the composer-conductor workshops INK STILL WET.

Of course, so that nothing stands in the way of enjoying a safe, successful concert evening - even in these times of the coronavirus - events take place in compliance with all official guidelines and thus in significantly modified form.

Below you will find answers to many questions regarding concert tickets and the prevention strategies that we've put in place. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to send a message to .

We kindly ask that you familiarise yourself with our rules of conduct before making your concert visit.

WHEN WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE?

Sales have already started for Schlossklänge subscriptions. Single tickets for the concerts from October to December 2020 will be available from 16 September. We will provide information on advance sales of single tickets for concerts in 2021 at the beginning of next year.

HAS IT BEEN NECESSARY TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMME?

Because large choral groups are currently not allowed on the stage and concerts are limited to a duration of 60 to 80 minutes, it has been necessary to adapt the programmes of the first two Schlossklänge concerts to accommodate these guidelines.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH SUBSCRIPTION TICKETS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN BOOKED?

Following the prevention strategy and the changes made to the first two concerts, your subscription seats for all concerts will be re-allocated until the end of 2020 to ensure the necessary minimum distance between seats. For this reason, tickets already received for all Schlossklänge concerts until the end of 2020 will no longer be valid. We will contact you by telephone should major changes in the allocation of your seats be necessary. Your new tickets will be sent to you by post from 16 September.

You have the possibility of exchanging a subscription concert for the concert of the European Youth Orchestra on 24 October.
As a small thank you for your loyalty, you will receive a Grafenegg mouth and nose mask, so that you can begin the new Schlossklänge season well-protected.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS WITHOUT GIVING ANY DATA?

It is only possible to purchase tickets for one person, stating name, address and telephone number. The prevention strategy prescribes contact tracing in order that a customer's contact details may be passed on to the health authorities at any time. We therefore ask that you inform our ticket office in advance should you give your tickets to other persons.

HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I PURCHASE PER CONCERT?

The number of tickets purchased online is limited to 2 per persons, as the prevention strategy prescribes contact tracing in order that a customer's contact details may be passed on to the health authorities at any time. You can purchase more than two tickets by telephone or by writing to tickets[at]grafenegg.com. However please ensure that you inform our ticket office prior to the event if you intend on passing tickets on to other persons, as we require their contact details. This data is stored only for this purpose and will is deleted after 28 days.

HOW ARE SEATS ALLOCATED ONLINE?

The seating plan allows for two-seater and one-seater seats, separated by one seat each. If availability is limited and no more two-seater seats are available, you can add two one-seater seats to your shopping cart. The best-seat booking system will automatically select those single seats with the smallest distance between them.

WILL THERE BE AN EVENING BOX OFFICE?

There is no regular evening box office on concert days.

WILL THERE BE PRE-CONCERT TALKS IN THE REITSCHULE?

Unfortunately, these cannot take place due to the prevention strategy. We are therefore making the pre-concert talks available as Podcasts only in German one week before each concert at grafenegg.com/podcast (exceptions are the final concert of INK STILL WET and New Year's Eve concerts).

HOW DOES THE VISIT TO THE CONCERT PROCEED?

  • The capacity of our large parking lot has been reduced by making each parking space three spaces wide. This will make it possible to have a stress-free and relaxed arrival.
  • Current regulations for public transport apply to our bus transfer service.
  • Tickets will be checked contactlessly at the forecourt to the Auditorium.
  • There is no regular evening box office on concert days.
  • Each seat is assigned a specific waiting area indicated on your ticket. There is a separate bar, consumption zone (not open after the concert) and coat check available in each section. Please leave your section only to access the restroom.
  • Pre-concert talks are available as Podcasts one week before the concert instead of taking place in the Reitschule.
    grafenegg.com/podcast (only available in German)
  • There will be no programme booklets for sale. These are available free of charge in the waiting area.
  • Admission into the Auditorium from the waiting areas will be staggered. Please be in your zone no later than 40 minutes before the concert begins.
  • All concerts take place with no interval. No latecomers will be admitted.
  • The large space between the stage and the audience area will ensure a safe distance between the public and the performers at all times.
  • The chessboard seating allocation - staggered, with an empty chair between individuals or groups of visitors - will ensure a distance of more than one metre between audience members.
  • Vacate your seat following the concert only when prompted to do so by an usher. After leaving the hall, please exit the building quickly via your waiting area.

WHAT HYGIENE MEASURES MUST I OBSERVE?

  • Please be sure to inform our ticket office in advance should you pass your tickets on to other persons, as we will require their contact details.
  • Please always maintain a distance of one metre from persons who are not from your household, and avoid crowding, especially at entrances, exits and the bars.
  • Please always follow the instructions given by the ushers and observe all signs.
  • Please observe the current general hygiene regulations such as sneezing etiquette, regular washing or disinfecting of hands etc. Disinfectant dispensers are available.
  • Please wear mouth and nose protection at all times from when you enter the grounds from the parking lot. These may be removed for the consumption of food and drink at the designated tables as well as during the concert as soon as all visitors have taken their seats. We recommend, however, that you wear your mask at all times.
  • Please do not attend the concert:
    - if you are feeling ill and cannot rule out the possibility of being infected by the corona virus
    - if you have had contact with a person suffering from Covid-19
    - if there has been or you suspect there to have been illness in your immediate social or professional environment
