A concert in C: Mozart has exhausted the festive key of C major to the extreme in his «dissonance» quartet. By contrast, Brahms began his engagement with the «key of fate», C minor, in his First String Quartet. Here, as in his First Symphony, it is an expression of his great melancholy. A magnificent quartet from France, a product of the talent hothouse that is the European Chamber Music Academy, will take on these two profound works in the Riding School.
