Schlossklänge

This year's Schlossklänge programme with the Tonkunstler Orchestra takes you to diverse countries and epochs. Let yourself be guided by a wide array of melodies and rhythms - such carefree travel can only be experienced in a concert!

The journey gets underway in spectacular fashion with percussion star Colin Currie, who also enjoys an association with Grafenegg through the Grafenegg Academy. He pulls out all the stops for the dynamic «Allegro Barbaro» by the French composer Bruno Mantovani in October. A variety-filled concert programme continues until the Midsummer Night's Gala in June featuring the celebrated soprano Asmik Grigorian in her Wolkenturm debut. By the way, listen out for the details: hiding here and there is a delicacy you should not let pass you by. We would especially like to draw your attention to the festive concerts. As part of Grafenegg Advent, the two Christmas concerts radiate festive splendour with Tchaikovsky's «Nutcracker Suite», and good cheer abounds in the New Year's Eve concert with Alfred Eschwé. The Good Friday concert featuring the engaging countertenor Raffaele Pe and the Easter concert of Mendelssohn's «Paulus» round out this mini-series of festive concerts within the overall programme. We look forward to you joining us on this musical journey.
