Alban Berg was 22 years old when some of his pieces were publicly performed for the first time. It was an exciting event for the talented and sensitive young composer who was one of Arnold Schönberg’s few private students.

Alban Berg’s Sieben frühe Lieder are the starting point for a great music project that takes us through all kinds of different moods. Life for adolescents is not uniform – there are ups and downs, exhilaration and sad days. These moods also feature in Alban Berg’s music.

We experience them up close and listen to the artistic «responses» to the original songs.
