Introduction/abstract

Boulanger Trio

Tchaikovsky, Staud

Get to know the most exciting young ensembles on the European chamber music scene! The ECMA ensembles have spent a whole week in Grafenegg working on their interpretations. To round off their week of work in Grafenegg, the trios and quartets present a varied programme at the highest artistic level.

This very special boulangerie matinee combines concert and salon together and builds a bridge between the traditional chamber music repertoire and the music of today. The concert is dedicated to the composer Johannes Maria Staud who is present during the concert and talks with the Trio about his work and life – the focus here is not musicological analysis, but a personal conversation about the music. To conclude the matinee, wine is offered after in a relaxed atmosphere and the audience has the opportunity to talk with the musicians and our guest.
