SAY · MOZART
He simply loves Mozart: The internationally celebrated Turkish pianist and composer Fazıl Say carries the genius from Salzburg in his heart, taking many different approaches to performing his works. For Say, Orientalism is the constant point of reference in Mozart's oeuvre, which he likes to use as a starting point for excursions into the realm of jazz. This special relationship has also inspired Fazıl Say to compose new cadenzas for some of Mozart's piano concertos. A second factor in the expert performance of Mozart at Grafenegg's Easter Concert is the Camerata Salzburg, which for decades has been at the forefront of passionate classical music-making.
