Jakub Hrůša celebrates music from Eastern Europe in his Grafenegg concert with the Vienna Philharmonic. The Czech conductor has a special relationship with Janáček's late romantic opera «The Cunning Little Vixen» and has fashioned his own large suite from the score. Rachmaninov's richly orchestrated Symphonic Dances op. 45 brings the programme to a rousing close.
Instead of the 1st Suite for Orchestra by George Enescu originally announced for the concert, you will hear the Romanian Rhapsody No. 1.
