Famous for their precise intonation, breath-taking musicality and their ever-charming performances, the King’s Singers have been capturing the imagination of audiences since they were founded in 1968. A younger generation has replaced the original line-up – but their irrepressible «sound» is always an event in itself.
For the Wolkenturm, the ensemble delves into the «American Songbook» to present a survey of the first golden era of American popular music. Gershwin, Porter, Rodgers and Bernstein are just some of the names to be encountered over the course of the evening. Frank Strobel conducts the NDR Radiophilharmonie.
